What Killed this GIGANTIC Mastodon and When?

Friday, May 22nd, 2020

The Lone Star Mastodon  is not just a big elephant, he’s actually a huge reminder of our not too distant past.  Estimated to be between 13-14ft at the shoulder, this behemoth took up a lot of space and ate a ton of food. A conventional elephant can put away 300 lbs of vegetation a day. Since Lone Star weighted upwards of 12 tons that’s 24,000 lbs., it means his daily intake must have been almost twice that.

Found in a Texas gravel bed in 2004. Only the head and lower jaw survived, the two massive tusks were missing. What means ended this huge animals life is the mystery we are attempting to unravel.

From our “forensic eyeglasses”, we begin with establishing what incontrovertible evidences first that help us understand the circumstances of this pachyderms demise?

The Evidence:

#1  Buried in soil that later became a mineable source of gravel.

#2  Skull in a fossilized condition

Let’s explore what a gravel bed is first:
Gravel Bed – Wikipedia states: “Gravel is often produced by quarrying and crushing hard-wearing rocks, such as sandstone, limestone, or basalt.” 2 are sedimentary (water based) or and 1 is volcanic.

Fossilization – These 3 atop aforementioned types of rocks provide one of the perfect conditions for fossilization.

Therefore this beast was encased in silt or volcanic ash, under extreme pressure, trapping its remains so quickly that oxygen could not begin normal tissue process decay. Time passed and voila a fossil.

Question?
But what knocks down a 16,000 lbs mammal and then encases it in dirt so fast, so complete that fossilization conditions can be met?  To me it’s hard to imagine our big tusked friend getting stuck in a watering hole, die and then somehow get covered in the manner required for fossilization to occur. It had to be fast and furious. Catastrophic.

Interpretation: Experts beliefs on cause of death and the age of the fossil.

Evolutionists claim that the last North American mastodon survived till approximately 8,000 B.C.  and was killed off due to hunting. That’s 10,000 years ago.

Creationists believe 2 events could have killed and fossilized Lone Star.
#1 – Caught in the worldwide flood 4,500 years ago.
#2 – After Noah’s flood subsided many lakes and dams holding back the post-flood residual waters, burst and sent a secondary wave of catastrophic water inland and buried many animals, fossilizing them.

Let’s sum this up:

Either way the time-line here is in question. Is it the evolutionists 10,000 years or the creationists 4,500 year age of the fossil?

Evolutionist's state every fossil is between 10,000 to 3.48 billion years old.

Creationist’s believe most fossils are 4,500 years old resulting from a massive flood which caused the perfect conditions of rapid fossilization to occur.

Which then brings us back to the main question…
“How did our big buddy die? and when?”
Was it 10,000 years or 4,500 years ago?

Bomb Shell Evidence….in 2003, buried in a sand pit 50 ft away, from a fossilized Mammoth, in Clute Texas was found a wooden bowl, carbon dated at…4,200 years!  The significance of this apparently anomalous find challenges the Mammoth and or Mastodon extinctions of 10,000 years ago.

4,200 year old Bowl next to Mammoth vs. Scientists dating of Mammoth no earlier than 10,000 years ago.(This particular fossil WAS determined to be 38,000 Yeats old)  Which is it? Are the creationists correct in their 4,500 year dating?

To understand the further significance of this wooden artifact, go to our VIDEO which explains the Clute bowl in detail. Then ask yourself Apes, Aliens, or Adam?…You decide.

Giant Human Fossil Foot Prints

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Pinkoski_Giant_Footprints06.jpgIn 1976 famed anthropologist Mary Leaky discovered 70 human footprints in stone in Tanzania known as the Laetoli tracks. Leaky felt they looked like they were made by modern human beings, but that created a problem. The depressions left by our ancestors were in a stratum dated at 3.6 million years. No modern human could have laid down that track since we were not around yet according to evolution.

What happens when evidence doesn’t support a theory?

In spite of Mary Leaky’s declaration of a modern look to the prints, notice what happens when evidence seems to contradict the evolutionary model. Enter the scientists, scrutinizing the prints (as they should) but looking for an alternative explanation one that will.  Some said the prints resembled a humanoid like creature,. Others thought the prints were from another creature altogether. In the end they concluded that a type of Lucy – half man, half monkey like being were responsible for these tracks. Phew! Evolution was safe again – end of story.

But could these several million year old imprints in stone simply be as they appear – from a modern human? To the scientific community it’s unthinkable and unacceptable. Why? Because they would have to conclude that:
A.) Modern man is much older than we have thought

B.) or that our dating techniques are faulty.

Either way, there is a big problem for scientists.  So…”interpretation of the evidence” then becomes an important tool that often comes to their rescue.

This is not the first set of prints that have attempted to shake up the evolutionary apple cart. The Taylor Track, Burdick Track, Zapata Track and more all are begging to dethrone evolutions iron grip on the answer to the human origins question  “How did we arrive to where we are today?” Did we evolve over millions of years through environmental pressures and positive mutations? Were our ancestors alien like creatures from outer space, with advanced genetics and technology who assisted our race? Or are we the product of special creation as outlined in Genesis? These footprints stamped in time help solve this ancient mystery. (more…)

World Largest Mastodon is “Lone Star”

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Unearthed from a Texan gravel bed in 2000 and painstakingly restored by bone digger Joe Taylor of the Mount Blanco Museum This creature is huge!  And just to give you an idea how massive this prehistoric mammal was –  imagine an elephant of today. About 9-10 feet at the shoulder 4-6 tons.

Ok get ready to compare this record breaking pacaderm at 14 feet at the shoulder, 10-12 tons and 33 feet long from its 10 foot long tusks to tail. That is one big beast that scientists say roamed all over the United States prior to its extinction.

Next time you walk past 75 State St. in the village of Phoenix, NY, take a peek into the large picture window and get ready for a breath-taking surprise.

Pedro Mountain Mummy Reward Has Been Removed

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

In 2005 a $10,000 Reward for Pedro Mountain Mummy appeared in headlines in the news around the world.  The AP story circulated as their readers were introduced to a little known, little man identified with the Wyoming mountain range he was discovered in 1932.

Paleo-anthropology is a fascinating subject where piecing together the skulls and artifacts allows us a peek into the history of mankind. Pedro was a bit of an anomaly. Facts are, Pedro was a mummified human and only 14″ tall!  Many scientists who examined the mini-mummy were divided. Anthropologist groups said Pedro was a diseased baby. But medical doctors and radiologists thought Pedro was a full-grown adult. To make matters worse he was stolen in 1950 and not heard of since.

Unless this mini-man surfaces, the testing necessary to discover what he and solve this mystery will never come to be. So the Museum offered $10,000 reward for his return.  If after a CAT scan and full examination by medical professionals and IF found to be a fully grown man, then this could suggest that the Native American legends of the “Little People” might in fact be true. It would also challenge the evolutionary family tree. Which branch would this mummy fit ? And are there more of these waiting to be found???

Although leads resulted from the news story, they did not help materialize the little man. However certain positive developments have resulted over the last next several years with a series of events we will report on in the future.

Update: As of April 19th 2018 the $10,000 REWARD was now been officially removed.
